Preparation For Hand bath:
1. Pour hot water into a basin or bowl
2. Add 2 – 3 drops of essential oils
3. Soak from palm till wrist for 10 minutes.
Effectiveness of Hand bath
Hand bath is not solely to moisturise the dry hands, but also relieve the tired hands, arching shoulder and neck due to extended use, overworked and working tension. It has tremendous value to improve the pains on the wrist as well.
To be more effective, massage the hand by pressing the fingers and nerve center of the palm, together with ‘open-close’ exercise of fingers.
Recommended essential oils for hand bath
Arching Shoulder:
Peppermint 3 drops
Before a manicure:
Patchouli 3 drops
Chapped skin:
Chamomile 1 drop, lavender 1 drop, geranium 1 drop
Dry skin:
Lavender 2 drops, chamomile 1 drop
Relaxing:
Lavender 3 drops
Others hand bath essential oils:
3 drops of lemon or chamomile or orange or rosemary
手浴的方法:
1. 熱水倒入盆中
2. 滴入喜愛的精油(2~3滴)
3. 坐手掌到手腕部分浸入水中約10分鐘
手浴的效用:
手浴並非單單只能使乾燥的手濕潤,也可以消解手部的疲勞,其不僅可緩和因工作所引起的肩膀,頸部酸痛和驚張,同時對於手腕的疼痛也有改善作用。
壓住指尖和手掌穴道進行按摩,若能夠再配合手指的收放運動,將更具效果。
推薦手浴時使用的芳香精油:
肩膀酸痛Arching Shoulder:
薄荷Peppermint 三滴
修指甲前Before a manicure:
廣藿香Patchouli三滴
粗糙裂痕Chapped skin:
洋甘菊一滴,薰衣草一滴,天竺葵一滴。
乾燥Dry skin:
薰衣草二滴,洋甘菊一滴。
放鬆Relaxing:
薰衣草三滴
其它手浴芳香精油:
檸檬或洋甘菊或甜橙或迷迭香三滴。
